Bardstown Road

I visited Bardstown Road with my PhotoForum club to collect images for the Capture the Highlands Contest. I took a few that may work, but it was so hot and humid that I had a hard time being inspired.

Visit to the Fair

My husband and I visited the fair again today. I thought we were going to end up bringing home a bunny rabbit. My husband totally fell in love with a little gray bunny.

I enjoyed watching a little angora bunny. It reminded me of a Fraggle, ok, I know I just showed my age on that one!

My husband is a big softy when it comes to animals. He gets lost in the animal exhibits for hours. He loves the big brown eyed cows.

I really enjoyed the cake decorating and picked my favorite.

Junk Yard Treasures

Sometimes a well loved car needs a helping hand from her private mechanic. Fortunately we were able to find a suitable “organ donor” and after a lot of sweat and muscle, we were headed home with a replacement trailing arm for my Lumina, but hey! At least while I was there I found some beautiful things…ok, so I really wanted to bring home that 40’s model Plymouth front clip or the little MG or that Chevy in the back, but I did not come home with any yard art on this trip...next time we take a BIG TRUCK!

Zucchini

Well I guess we will see how Zucchini does canned. I have never tried this method with them, I usually just freeze them.

More Garden News

We now have several large watermelon about ready to be feasted on and the cantaloupe is beginning to show signs of lots of yummy treats on the way! We also have tomatoes ready to pick. I was beginning to think they would never ripen. The vines are FULL of green tomatoes. Guess we know what I will be canning next!!!

Hummingbird

My little friends are back again this year. They are such pigs sometimes, but they sure like to fight over the feeder. Guess it’s time to get more feeders.

Street Rod Nationals

While I did not get to go to the Street Rods National Event, I did have a chance to stop by a couple of hotel parking lots to catch a couple of shots. I do love these beautiful cars!

Chicago

Today I made my second trek to Chicago. It was a lot easier this time thanks to my Tom-Tom! I went for a friend’s graduation. We had a wonderful time and I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicago Style Pizza from Exchequers Pub…YUMMY!
