Madison Indiana
Today I visited Madison Indiana. It’s a cute little town but the air was freezing cold! I spent most of my time indoors, but caught a few interesting shots.

Today I went to Blackacre in hopes of viewing the photographers display by Matthew Sandercock today, but the exhibit area was closed. My son and I took the time to wonder around and find the waterfall area, but with the recent dry spell it was less than exciting today. We will have to return in the spring after some good rain fall and some foliage on the trees.
Well my fears were correct, my studio roof leaks in about three places, one is pretty major…UGH
Today I did pictures at the Horse Barn in Taylorsville in an effort to boost knowledge of the Horse Barn location and customers. There were quite a few new customers who had never been there.

This morning was a beautiful sunrise. There are many wonderful ones, just have to get myself out there to catch them. The colder the air the prettier they are!
Today we had our first good dusting of snow flurries, the temps are dropping quickly. The pond also has the first signs of some ice.
Studio remodeling and clean up continue. A quick store front display is up, but I need to get some easels to get the display off the floor. I am a little worried about the ceiling and roof, so no valuable framed work is up just yet.
Morgan is growing so fast! Today he got his first pedicure. He was not impressed! He also likes to sleep in my lets on a blanket like a hammock. What a spoiled little boy.
On the way back from Shaker Village, I had to catch a covered bridge. I love the nostalgia of those old bridges from the past and Beech Fork is closest to me.
Today I toured Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. I have been here once before but never toured inside the buildings. I love the spiral staircase and the simple design has its own unique charms.

Today I landed in California, although it is not a pleasure trip. My mom is quite ill with pneumonia and in the hospital, so I am flew out from Kentucky and my brother from Tennessee to be with her and encourage her to get better. She will have several family members arriving today to look in on her and hopefully bring her the high spirits she will need to fight to recover. At least I finally was able to meet my Grand-puppy Lulu.
Today was the Taylorsville Veterans event, but the sudden cold weather must have scared everyone away. It was a very small crowd, so off to one of my favorite picture places, Cave Hill Cemetery. It is always beautiful, but today was extra special with all the flags out for our military.
I am so excited. I am opening my studio in downtown Taylorville Kentucky soon! Keep watching for my Grand Opening!!! My studio will be located at 22 W. Main Street...stop in shortly and visit!
Today we did a walk through of the shop we are thinking about renting for my new studio. It used to be a Western Auto. My husband is super excited about the possibilities. He has always dreamed of a little country storefront business. Not sure photography was what he had in mind back when the dreams were new, but he is still excited about us having a storefront business. The place needs a lot of work, but we think it could be a nice place.
